Even through the pouring rain and freezing cold the shows must go on for Milan Fashion Week. During my weekend in Milan I was fortunate enough to participate in some of the festivities for Milan Fashion week!
The Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini Show:
The Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini collection was the perfect combination of neutrals in white and black, with pops of color in red/ bordeaux. The color schemes were popular for many designers, especially in Dolce and Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, and MGSM runways. There was an elegant mix of lace and ruffles along with outerwear at the highlight of the collection. This MFW it has been all about the outwear on the streets as well as on the runway. The collection was a play on a romantic style with retro undertones.
You can find designs at Barney’s New York. Otherwise, if you are feeling a trip to Milan coming your way, you can visit the boutique on Via Monte Napoleone, 18.
The Salvatore Ferragamo Show:
Though I unfortunately was not able to view the show in person, I did see some fantastic street style trends. From outside the venue…
From what I have seen since the show, it was a vision of the classical reinvented with a playful color scheme. The collection was bold and had a zesty vibe to it. The designs, simple and clean cut, but colors lively and dynamic.
With or without the rain, the shows went on and Milan Fashion Week was a phenomenal success. What are your thoughts on the collections from MFW? Any favorites? Feel free to comment below!
